There’s not a lot of change to my thinking forecast wise regarding the severe weather potential across the Southern Plains on Monday. I think storms will develop across western portions of Oklahoma and Texas during the early to mid afternoon and move eastward. Initially, hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards. By the early evening, storms will likely become linear with damaging winds becoming the primary hazard. Storms should develop in western Oklahoma by the early evening and move eastward through the evening and overnight hours. The tornado potential will be low with these storms. Below is the convective outlook for Monday.
